In 1998 Aramis Software was looking for a suitable new brand name for an international software company which develops high-tech computer programs for sales and marketing departments of companies. This new brand name had to be ownable in the European Union, Norway, Switzerland, USA, Canada and Brazil.

Aramis Software was a primary supplier for all major marketing and sales departments, and its built up brand equity and selling intelligence experience had to be transferred into the new brand’s name.

Remarkable created a shortlist of strong brand names, of which Selligent was chosen. This brand name very clearly incorporates the core activities of this company, by combining the elements of ‘selling’ and ‘software generated intelligence’.
