Gradilux

A luminous idea

GE Industrial Belgium asked Remarkable to create a new and claimable name for a lighting product that ensures the correct supply of voltage for lighting installations at all times, obtaining important reductions in energy consumption and maintenance. These reductions result in lower carbon emissions.

The new name should refer to the control of power consumption through a gradual approach in lighting: thanks to the dimming function, there is no need to operate lighting at full power all the time.

Combining the gradual use of electricity with the Latin word for light (‘lux’) resulted in the meaningful name proposal Gradilux that was approved and registered by GE.
